Chechen leader says hopes for ceasefire lost, Zelensky’s fault

Ramzan Kadyrov said that authorities in the countries who are wearing the mantle of both pacifists and judges didn’t give a damn about the lives of thousands in Donbass

GROZNY, October 11. /TASS/. The chances for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine are all but lost as a result of actions by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his entourage, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.

"What’s happening today is retaliation for the cold-blooded killing and maiming of children, women and elders. The opportunity for any ceasefire is lost forever because of what gutless Zelensky and his sissy gangsters have been doing," Kadyrov wrote.

Authorities in the countries who "are wearing the mantle of both pacifists and judges" and who have denounced missile strikes on military command, communications and energy facilities in Ukraine "didn’t give a damn about the lives of thousands in Donbass, including children, women and elders, for eight long years," he emphasized.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an emergency Security Council meeting on Monday that a massive strike with "long-range precision weapons" had been inflicted on Ukrainian energy, military command and communications facilities. He warned Kiev that any further attempts at terror attacks in Russia would be met with a stiff response.
