US denies involvement in Nord Stream incident, deputy envoy to UN says

The United States categorically denies any involvement in this incident and we reject any assertions saying the contrary, Richard Mills pointed

UNITED NATIONS, October 1. /TASS/. The United States denies any involvement in an incident at the Nord Stream gas pipelines, US Deputy Representative to the United Nations Richard Mills said at a UN Security Council meeting.

"Let me be clear, the United States categorically denies any involvement in this incident and we reject any assertions saying the contrary," he pointed out.

It won’t be easy to repair the damaged Nord Stream gas pipelines, Nebenzya told.

"I think that the representative of Gazprom said clearly that first, we have to estimate the damage, to understand what happened and for that, obviously, you need access to the area and to the actual place of explosion to study the damage and see what can be done. But of course, I’m sure that this is not an easy repair operation," he noted.
