US not intending to give back frozen assets — White House

According to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the US' goal is "to put them to a better use"

WASHINGTON, April 14. /TASS/. The US administration is not going to give back assets frozen in connection with the sanctions of the West, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Thursday.

"Our goal is not to give them back. Our goal is to put them to a better use than that. But I'll be careful in what I say today because there's an ongoing kind of policy process around how we end up dealing with that question. But rest assured, the goal is not just to sit on them for a while and then pass them all back," the official said, responding to the question whether frozen assets like expensive yachts and possessions can be then returned.
