US says it delivered ‘a significant amount’ of Switchblade loitering munitions to Ukraine

WASHINGTON, April 12. /TASS/. The United States has delivered ‘a significant amount’ of Switchblade loitering munitions to Ukraine, a US Department of Defense official told reporters on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Pentagon announced its plans to deliver 100 Switchblades to Ukraine as part of its military aid to Kiev.

"A significant amount of the first 100 we know are in Ukraine. But it's not all 100," the official said. "They've gotten a significant number and it won't take long before the rest of them are in the country."

The official also said that the delivery of US military aid worth $800 million was almost completed.

Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said in late March that a significant part of weapons, supplied to Ukraine by the West, "falls into the hands of bandits, Nazis, terrorists and criminals," while "militants who have come from all over the world to Europe can afterwards apply the combat experience gained in Ukraine anywhere.".
