South Osseria's presidential election recognized valid

The voter turnout is more than 50%

TSKHINVAL, April 10. /TASS/. Presidential elections in South Ossetia have been recognized as valid, with the voter turnout exceeding 50%, Igor Chochiyev, a spokesman for the country’s Central Election Commission (CEC), told TASS on Sunday.

Elections are recognized as valid when 50% of eligible voters cast their ballots.

"The elections are valid. The voter turnout is more than 50%," Chochiyev said.

Incumbent President Anatoly Bibilov, deputy speaker of parliament Alexander Pliyev, leader of the Nykhas political party Alan Gagloyev, lawmaker Garri Muldarov, and former lawmaker Dmitry Tasoyev are vying for the presidential office.
