Australia sanctions President of Belarus, officials

Sanctions are introduced against the Belarusian President, his son Viktor and spouse Galina, and against certain Belarusian ministers and senior military officials

SYDNEY, March 25. /TASS/. Australian authorities introduced a new package of sanctions against Belarusian nationals, including President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and his family members, Foreign Minister Marise Payne said on Friday.

"The Government of Belarus, under President [Alexander] Lukashenko, continues to provide strategic support to Russia and its military forces in their assault on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Payne said.
