Belarus says activities of some Ukrainian diplomats are incompatible with their status

Minsk decided to reduce the number of Ukrainian diplomats in Belarus, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz informed

MINSK, March 23. /TASS/. The activities of some employees at Ukrainian diplomatic missions in Belarus were incompatible with their status and they were told to leave the country within 72 hours, Anatoly Glaz, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, said on Wednesday.

"We were also aware of the activities by some employees at the Ukrainian embassy and the consulate general in the Republic of Belarus that were incompatible with the diplomatic status," he said in a statement published on the ministry’s website. "They were intensifying."

Glaz said Minsk decided to reduce the number of Ukrainian diplomats in Belarus. "This step is aimed at ending non-diplomatic activities by some employees of Ukrainian foreign missions," he said. "They were told to leave our country within 72 hours."
