British International Trade Secretary Liz Truss promoted to Foreign Secretary

LONDON, September 15. /TASS/. British International Trade Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities Liz Truss has been appointed Foreign Secretary in a major reshuffle of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s cabinet, the prime minister’s office confirmed on Wednesday.

"The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP has been appointed Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. She remains as Minister for Women and Equalities," 10 Downing Street tweeted.

Truss has been promoted to succeed Dominic Raab who has now been moved to the position of Justice Secretary after holding the office since July 2019. At the same time, he has been officially appointed Deputy Prime Minister.
