MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/. The Russian Football Union (RFU) will have to pay over 30 million euros if it decides to fire Fabio Capello, the Russian football team's head coach, CSKA Moscow FC president Yevgeny Giner told TASS on Wednesday.

"We are being told that Capello will have to be paid some 20 million euros. But it's a mistake," Giner said. "I have seen this contract and the whole country has. It says that as soon as it is terminated, Capello will stop being a Russian tax resident. Therefore, we will have to pay 11 million more to be spent on the payment of taxes in Italy," Giner said.

A football source told TASS on Tuesday that the contract with the Italian coach who had taken over the national team in 2012 would be most likely terminated in the wake of Russia's 0-1 home defeat to Austria in their Euro-2016 qualifier.

RFU acting President Nikita Simonyan said that Capello’s future work with the team will be decided at the next session of the RFU Executive Committee,

"The decision will be made by the Executive Committee," Simonyan told TASS. "Members of the Executive Committee will be able to vote either for the termination of the contract with Capello or against it.".
