Ukraine wins Eurovision-2022 song contest

ROME, May 15. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra won the 66th international Eurovision song contest with its song Stefania. The results of the vote were announced overnight on Sunday in Italy’s Turin.

The band received the most support garnering 631 points. This is Ukraine’s third victory at the contest. The second place went to the UK, while Spain was third.

On February 25, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) which organizes the contest announced that due to the situation in Ukraine, Russia would not participate in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
