Hospitals in Yakutia’s northern districts receive 10 new medical vehicles

Over five years, the region plans to receive 200 cars

YAKUTSK, February 25. /TASS/. Yakutia’s northern and Arctic districts received ten UAZ Patriot cars for the local healthcare, the regional government said.

"The UAZ Patriot cars, which we have received under the federal program to upgrade the initial healthcare services, have been distributed among hospitals in the northern and Arctic districts," the press service said.

Over five years, the region plans to receive 200 cars under this federal program, the government said, adding in 2020 Yakutia received 31 ambulance cars.

Yakutia has announced year 2021 the Year of Health. According to the regional authorities, during 2021-2023, the federal budget will allocate 6.5 billion rubles ($88 million) for the upgrade of the region’s initial healthcare services.
