NEW YORK, October 14. /TASS/. The Crew Dragon spacecraft carrying the members the Crew-4 mission has undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on Friday to begin a journey back to Earth.
Initially, the undocking was supposed to take place on October 12, but had to be postponed twice due to bad weather. The descent capsule is expected to splash down at 16:50 US East Coast time (23.50 Moscow time). The undocking was delayed by approximately one hour due to the need to adjust the position of the hatch on the ISS in relation to the Crew Dragon spacecraft.
NASA astronauts Kjell Lindgren, Robert Hynes and Jessica Watkins, as well as European Space Agency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti will return to Earth. The Crew Dragon spacecraft with the Crew-4 mission on board was launched to the ISS from Cape Canaveral, Florida on April 27. The next day, it docked with the orbital station automatically.
The crew of the 68th long-term expedition remaining on the ISS consists of Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin and Anna Kikina, NASA astronauts Frank Rubio, Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, as well as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s astronaut Koichi Wakata.
