Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft successfully docks with China's space station

The docking with the Tianhe core module took place at 08:54 Beijing time, or 03:54 Moscow time

BEIJING, May 10. /TASS/. The Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft successfully docked with the China's space station on Tuesday, the China Manned Space Agency said.

The docking with the Tianhe core module took place at 08:54 Beijing time, or 03:54 Moscow time.

The Tianzhou-4 blasted off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Center on the island province of Hainan at 1:56 Beijing time (20:56 Moscow time).

The spacecraft delivered fuel, spare parts and various equipment for three astronauts that will come to the station in June aboard the Shenzhou-14 to spend about six months in orbit.

The Chinese station flies at the altitude of about 400 kilometers and will stay in orbit for more than 10 years. It’s designed for three people. China is expected to dock two modules to the station later this year.
