Ground station in Hainan receives data from newly launched Gaofen-3-02 satellite

The data from the satellite was transmitted, received and recorded on November 28.

SANYA /China/, December 8. /TASS/. China Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station located in Sanya city (Hainan province, South China) has successfully received data from the recently launched Gaofen-3-02 satellite, the Hainan Daily reported.

The data from the satellite was transmitted, received and recorded on November 28, the newspaper wrote. Subsequently, Gaofen-3-02 satellite data was also received at other Chinese ground stations: in the city of Kashgar (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northwest China) and in the Miyun District in northeast Beijing.

The Gaofen-3-02 satellite, used for remote sensing and Earth observation, was launched on November 23 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province using the Long March 4C (CZ-4C) launch vehicle. According to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the satellite will be used for marine disaster prevention and management, environmental monitoring and protection, as well as agriculture and meteorology.
