MOSCOW, June 9. /TASS/. Tyumen State University was included in the list of universities — participants in the international ranking QS World University Rankings 2022, taking the 801st place among thousands of selected educational organizations, the press service of Tyumen State University announced on Wednesday .
"In accordance with the results of the ranking, the university is distinguished by a high intensity of scientific research and its focus. Let us recall that the task of focusing scientific research on frontier [most relevant — TASS] topics that meet global challenges was set at Tyumen State University during the implementation of the project to increase competitiveness '5-100'. [In the rating] Tyumen State University ranks 801-1000", the message reads.
Forty-eight Russian universities are on the best universities list. The ranking was compiled based on a survey of 130,000 representatives of academia and 75,000 employers around the world. The experts also counted 14.7 million scientific publications and 96 million citations to measure the research impact of universities.
"The promotion of Tyumen State University in world rankings is a natural result of a systematic policy aimed at raising the level of all components of the university's life: research, education, attracting foreign teachers and students, campus policy, cooperation with business," the university's press service quoted the rector of Tyumen State University Ivan Romanchuk as saying.
