Ukrainian serviceman plotting terror attacks detained in Berdyansk - police

An investigation is under way

MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/. Police detained a service member of the Ukrainian armed forces who was staging terror attacks in the Zaporozhye Region, local police told TASS on Tuesday.

"During a patrol mission, officers of the police patrol and inspection service were informed that a suspicious man was hiding in a house. Police checked the address and established that the man was a Ukrainian serviceman, ready to stage sabotage acts and terror attacks in the Zaporozhye Region, or perform an artillery call for fire," the press service said.

The man was detained, an investigation is under way.

"Examination of his phone established his contacts with Ukrainian troops. It contained photos of his duty locations and messages in which the man stated his readiness to assist the Ukrainian armed forces by designating military facilities of the Russian armed forces," the press service said.
