The security services of an unfriendly state are responsible for planning and orchestrating the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue, which took place exactly one year ago. Their objective was to destabilize the situation in Russia, spokesperson for the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko told TASS.
"Based on the collected evidence, the investigation has concluded that the terrorist act was planned and organized by the security services of an unfriendly state with the aim of destabilizing the situation in Russia. Members of an international terrorist organization were recruited to carry out the attack," she said.
The representative of the Investigative Committee did not specify which country it was. Earlier, the director of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov reported that the Ukrainian military intelligence had a direct link to the terrorist attack in Crocus.
On the evening of March 22, 2024, a terrorist attack took place at Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, in which 145 people were killed, including six children, and over 500 were injured. In the case of the terrorist attack, charges have been brought against 19 defendants, who are currently reviewing the case materials, after which they will be sent to court.
