Court sentences two Ukrainian air pilots to terms of up to 26 years for terrorism

The prosecution had asked for a 30-year imprisonment for both defendants each

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. The 2nd Western District Military Court has found Ukrainian air pilots Dmitry Shimansky and Alexander Morozov guilty of committing about a dozen terrorist crimes and sentenced them to up to 26 years in prison, a TASS correspondent reports from the courtroom.

Shimansky was handed a 26 year-term (the first 5 years in prison, and the rest of the time in a tight security penal colony), and Morozov, a 22-year-term (including 4 years in prison).

The prosecution had asked for a 30-year imprisonment for both defendants each.
