KURSK, February 12. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military attacked the town of Rylsk in Russia’s borderline Kursk Region by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with no casualties reported in the attack, acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
"This morning, two drones delivered strikes on the town of Rylsk. Fortunately, there are no casualties," he said.
The Ukrainian drone attack damaged windows in two buildings and a library. The strike on a courtyard damaged an outbuilding, the fence and roofing and smashed doors. The second drone attacked the area near a kindergarten, smashing windows, the governor specified.
The Ukrainian UAV attack disrupted the operation of local electricity transmission lines and an energy recovery team has already gone out to the scene. Heating in the damaged buildings will soon be restored, following which window panes will be replaced, he specified.
The situation is under the governor’s control and poses no threat to residents, he said.
