MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russian air defenses destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Vladimir Region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"The Kiev regime’s attempt to carry out a terrorist attack on targets in Russia using fixed-wing drones was foiled between 5:05 a.m. and 5:40 a.m. Moscow time (2:05 — 2:40 a.m. GMT) on December 13. On-duty air defenses destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the Vladimir Region," the statement said.
Alexander Avdeyev, the governor of the region, reported on his Telegram channel that the drones were intercepted over the Petushinsky district. According to him, the falling UAVs caused minor fires outside of the residential area.
"There were no injuries or damage. I have been at the scene since early morning, currently holding a field command meeting, deciding on the restriction of people’s movement, on the need or rejection of the need to evacuate residents for the clean-up operations of the UAV wreckage," the regional head wrote.
