Kremlin says AI will be used to aggregate data for Putin’s Q&A session

"By the time the president sits down for the Q&A session and a press conference, he will have an understanding of all issues," Spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted

MINSK, December 6. /TASS/. For the first time ever, Russia will employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) to process questions ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Q&A session, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"What's new this year? Artificial Intelligence will be used expansively in processing citizens’ questions," Peskov said. He lauded what he called gigantic efforts on the part of the event's organizers, as well as the team from Sberbank, which is using its homegrown AI system GigaChat to aid the president.

"By the time the president sits down for the Q&A session and a press conference, he will have an understanding of all issues," the Russian presidential spokesman said. He recounted that, ahead of previous Q&As, millions of questions were poured over by volunteers, a process that took all year. "Now, no matter how many questions we receive, we will be able to process all of them using AI prior to the president's appearance [at the session]," he said.

"We will have a detailed understanding of the issues in each region and city, the demographics of those reaching out, and the specific nature of the problems they are raising, down to the smallest details," Peskov explained.

This year, Putin’s combined Q&A session and press conference will be held on December 19, Peskov announced earlier on Friday.
