MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russia and Serbia will continue to discuss the most difficult bilateral issues as partners, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

"Of course, we will continue to discuss the most difficult issues on the agenda of our relations with our Serbian friends as partners," he said.

"The Serbs are our good friends and we know that Serbia has been facing unprecedented pressure from the collective West for its friendly stance towards our country," Peskov noted. "We highly appreciate the position that the country has occupied," the Kremlin spokesman added.

Earlier, Serbia’s Movement of Socialists, led by Security Intelligence Agency Director Aleksandar Vulin, demanded the resignation of Minister of Economy Rade Basta who had emphasized the need for the country to impose sanctions on Russia.

"We know that ideas different from Belgrade’s general line aren’t always popular in Serbia and are heavily criticized by the Serbian people," Peskov noted.
