About 80,000 Russian passports issued in Kherson Region, official says

According to the acting governor, the Interior Ministry keeps sending teams from other Russian regions because there aren’t enough local employees

GENICHESK, March 14. /TASS/. About 80,000 Russian passports have so far been issued in the Kherson Region, Acting Governor Vladimir Saldo said in an interview with TASS.

"As of now, about 80,000 [passports] have been issued and the goal is to issue 150,000 passports by September 1. The amount of applications and documents for obtaining passports currently exceeds the technical capacity of issuance centers," Saldo noted.

He pointed out that the number of employees at passport centers was increasing. According to the acting governor, the Interior Ministry keeps sending teams from other Russian regions because there aren’t enough local employees.
