MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. The Kremlin is paying close attention to China's plan for a peace settlement in Ukraine and its details should be a subject matter of thorough analysis, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media on Monday.

"Any attempt to produce a plan that would put the conflict on a peace track deserves attention. We consider the plan of our Chinese friends with great attention," he said.

"As for the details, they should be a subject matter of through analysis, with the interests of very different parties taken into account. This is a very strenuous process," Peskov emphasized.

"We repeat once again that for now we do not see any prerequisites for putting the issue on a peace track. The special military operation continues. We are moving towards achieving the goals that were set," Peskov said.

Last Friday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry published a position paper on a political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine. This twelve-point document includes calls for a ceasefire, respect for the legitimate interests of all countries in the field of security, settlement of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the exchange of prisoners of war between Moscow and Kiev, as well as the cancellation of unilateral sanctions imposed without a corresponding decision of the UN Security Council.

In the published document, China described a dialogue and negotiations as the sole way of resolving the crisis in Ukraine and called on all parties to support Moscow and Kiev in "moving towards each other", as well as in the early resumption of a direct dialogue. It is stressed that the world community should create conditions and provide a platform for the resumption of talks.
