Russia to crack down on US attempts to call the shots in cyberspace — envoy

"We must negotiate on equal footing and find constructive solutions to global issues, those that are in these areas in our bilateral relations," Andrey Krutskikh noted

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Moscow will not accept US attempts to call the shots and interfere in Russia’s domestic affairs, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for International Cybersecurity Cooperation Andrey Krutskikh told TASS on the sidelines of the InfoForum 2023 event on Tuesday.

"Washington relies on force and confrontation [with Moscow]," Krutskikh emphasized.

The special envoy noted in this regard that Russia had always been open to constructive dialogue. "Speaking from a position of force and interfering in our domestic affairs is unacceptable, and of course, no conversation will be built on such principles with the ambassador or anyone else," Krutskikh said. "We must negotiate on equal footing and find constructive solutions to global issues, those that are in these areas in our bilateral relations," he noted.

The special presidential envoy pointed out that there were examples "where Russia achieved progress and positive results in dialogue with the United States." "I think that American diplomacy just needs to recall those times," he added.
