DPR doubts Kiev will receive military aircraft from Western countries

Adviser to the Acting Head of the Republic, Yan Gagin, completely ruled out the scenario for the supply of new models of Western aircraft to Kyiv

DONETSK, January 31. /TASS/. The West is unlikely to deliver warplanes to Ukraine, and even if it happens, Kiev will not get new models anyway, Yan Gagin, military-political expert and adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), told TASS on Tuesday.

"First of all, Ukraine cannot get so many planes, if any. There are great doubts that it will happen at all. As for new models, the latest generations of aircraft - they will not get them in any case," the adviser said.

He stressed that in case of aircraft deliveries to Ukraine, all of them would be destroyed by Russian forces, as it happened at the beginning of the special military operation.

Gagin added that the West's arms deliveries once again prove the direct involvement of NATO countries in the conflict in Donbass.

"They say quite directly and honestly that their task is to destroy Russia. They have been fueling the conflict in Donbass since 2014 with both money and weapons, their instructors, mercenaries and servicemen," the adviser concluded.
