MOSCOW, January 17. /TASS/. Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the situation in Syria and the Middle East settlement with Jordan’s Ambassador to Moscow Khaled Shawabkeh on Tuesday.
"The parties held a thorough exchange of views on the key aspects of the regional and international agenda with a focus on the situation in Syria and the issues of the Middle East settlement," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
As the Foreign Ministry noted, during the conversation the diplomats also discussed key issues of the further strengthening traditionally friendly Russian-Jordanian relations, including maintaining an active political dialogue at various levels.
The meeting was held at the request of the Jordanian side.
