‘Nazism main pathogen delivered to Ukraine’: Key legislator slams Pentagon’s biolab claims

Irina Yarovaya noted that the Pentagon "like those mercenaries caught red-handed, tries to say that they were simply cooks and gardeners"

MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/. The Pentagon has confirmed that the US and NATO have been working on colonizing Ukraine for 20 years, and this is a political and military occupation, Russian State Duma Deputy Speaker Irina Yarovaya who co-chairs a parliamentary commission on the investigation into the operations of biological laboratories in Ukraine told TASS on Friday.

"The important part of the Pentagon’s statement is the actual confirmation that for 20 years the US’ main agency and NATO have been cultivating Ukraine which means that everything horrible that happened to this country over these years happened under the guidance and with the direct participation of the US," she said. "The Pentagon colonizing Ukraine is a political, economic, military and biological occupation the consequences of which are currently the subject of a parliamentary investigation as well," the lawmaker stressed.

The deputy speaker noted that the Pentagon "like those mercenaries caught red-handed, tries to say that they were simply cooks and gardeners." "Yet, as it always happens with criminals, even by making such clumsy moves, they also blurt out important information," she added.

According to the deputy speaker, what the Pentagon calls "a legal activity was even prohibiting Ukraine’s security services from getting access to the classified research and goals of these laboratories which essentially became the US’ military biological facilities."

"The result of this activity was the collapse of Ukraine’s healthcare system, a huge plunge in vaccination and the population’s immunity, the emergence of epidemics and new dangerous diseases that were obviously brought in. For example, Asian Tuberculosis, Smallpox, Zika virus, Ebola, work on animal infection carriers and the technical means of transmitting viruses and pathogens don’t really fit the description of good intentions," she noted.

"It seems that the Pentagon was instructed to provide explanations for [US Under Secretary of State Victoria] Nuland who was officially invited by the commission to shed light on the unseemly participation of US state structures in the creation and operations of military biological laboratories in Ukraine," the lawmaker added.

That said, Yarovaya asserted that "Fascism and Nazism directed against Russia and the Russian world" became the "main pathogen" that the Pentagon brought to Ukraine. The legislator emphasized that Russia’s special military operation "exposed the US’ monstrously dangerous strategy."

On Thursday, the Pentagon published a fact sheet which mentions that over the past 20 years the US had been providing support to 46 various civilian laboratories, health facilities and disease diagnostic sites in Ukraine. Washington claims that this endeavor had ‘peaceful’ purposes.

Earlier, the State Duma and the Federation Council passed a resolution to conduct a parliamentary probe of these Ukraine-based biological laboratories as well as to create a joint commission for this investigation. The commission consists of 14 lawmakers and 14 senators and is co-chaired by Yarovaya and Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev. Previously, Russia’s State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that Nuland should be among the first of those questioned within the framework of the investigation.
