Peskov slams EU sanctions against his family 'example of Europe's non-independent actions'

MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. The European Union is losing its independence and is following the trend set from the United States, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday, commenting to TASS on the EU's introduction of sanctions against members of his family.

"Unfortunately, the Europeans are quickly losing their independence. They have to follow the trend that is being set from across the ocean," the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov was included on the US sanctions list in early March. On March 12, Washington imposed sanctions on his wife, Olympic figure skating champion Tatiana Navka, and his two adult children, Nikolay Peskov and Elizaveta Peskova.
