At least 13 people killed in US airstrikes on Sanaa — Houthi Health Ministry

At least nine people were injured

DOHA, March 16. /TASS/. The death toll from US airstrikes on the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, controlled by the Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement, has risen to 13, the Health Ministry in the rebel government reported.

"The death toll as a result of US aggression in Sanaa has risen to 13," the Al Yemen TV channel quotes the ministry's statement as saying. At least nine people were injured.

On Saturday evening, Al Masirah TV channel reported that Houthi-controlled Sanaa was hit by airstrikes. Later, US President Donald Trump said that he had given the order to begin military action against the Ansar Allah movement. According to Al Hadath TV channel, the headquarters of the Houthi Supreme Political Council, weapons depots and rebel command centers were shelled in Sanaa. The US also struck Yemeni rebel targets in the governorates of Saada, Dhamar and Al-Bayda.
