Miratorg confirms death of employee injured in drone debris’ falling on company’s premises

The company pledged to provide all necessary assistance as soon as possible

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. One of the employees has passed away after succumbing to his injuries following Ukraine’s drone debris landing on the premises of Miratorg agribusiness’ facility in Domodedovo outside Moscow, the company told TASS.

"The other employee of our company has passed away after succumbing to his injuries following Ukraine’s drone debris hitting on the distribution center in Domodedovo," the company said.

Miratorg said that it expressed sincere condolences and asked to convey words of sympathy to families and friends of the victims. The company pledged to provide all necessary assistance as soon as possible. "These are lump sum payments of 1.5 million rubles to pay for funerals and other costs associated with the tragic accident," it specified. The other injured employee who has previously been hospitalized will be provided with financial assistance of 300.000 rubles. "We will monitor the affected person's health over time," Miratorg said.

Over 40 cars of employees were damaged in the accident, the company specified, adding that it still assesses the damage caused. "In cases that will not be attributed to insurance, the company is considering assistance," it noted.

Earlier, Miratorg reported that one of its employees was killed by a Ukrainian drone debris falling on the premises of the company’s distribution center in Domodedovo outside Moscow.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 337 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian regions last night, with 91 unmanned aerial vehicles downed over the Moscow Region. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that air defenses had repelled the largest-ever drone attack on the Russian capital. The attack damaged residential and other buildings, and caused cars to burn down. The Investigative Committee of Russia launched a criminal investigation into an act of terrorism with regard to the large-scale drone attack.
