Ship collides with floating bridge in Suez Canal disrupting navigation

The One Orpheus was traveling from Singapore to the Netherlands

CAIRO, December 6. /TASS/. The One Orpheus ship collided with a floating bridge, suspending navigation in the Suez Canal, Al-Qahera al-Ihbariya television reported.

Osama Rabie, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, told the Cairo24 news website that the authority "sent four boats to tow the container ship."

"It’s a minor incident and will be resolved soon," he said "The emergency will not affect the passage of vessels in the future."

The One Orpheus was traveling from Singapore to the Netherlands. Before the collision, she suffered a fault and lost control.
