Hamburg police detain 4 schoolchildren who held teachers at gunpoint

They threatened teachers with guns at two schools

BERLIN, November 8. /TASS/. Police in the German city of Hamburg said on Wednesday that they have taken four teens and pre-teens into custody for holding teachers at gunpoint at two schools in the city.

Later, it turned out that their "weapons" were toy guns. Initially, the media reported only one incident, saying that unknown persons were pointing weapons at a teacher. A special police unit was called in, but the miscreants managed to flee. Later, it became known that a similar incident took place in another Hamburg school as well. Police began searching for the suspects.

"As a result of investigative procedures, four persons were detained, namely three children (aged 12 and 13) and one 14-year-old," Hamburg police said in a statement.
