MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Rescuers have reached the crash site of a Mi-2 helicopter in the Kostroma Region, a spokesman for the regional administration said on Tuesday.
"The helicopter has been spotted. <…> Rescuers are already at the site, providing first aid to the injured. Medics are on site," the spokesman said, adding that the helicopter crash landed near the village of Shchetinkovo.
The regional health department has confirmed the death of a patient who was being airlifted from the city of Sharya to Kostroma. It was a 67-year-old man with a cardiovascular disease.
A Mi-2 helicopter, which was on an medevac flight, crashed some four kilometers of Kostroma’s Sokerkino airport on Tuesday evening. There were five people: two pilots, two medics and a patient onboard. The patient was killed and the four other people were hurt.
