One killed, about 30 injured in fire at military research facility in Russia’s Tver

According to preliminary reports, the fire was caused by a power grid failure

MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. One person was killed and about 30 suffered injuries in a fire at the Central Research Institute of the Aerospace Defense Forces in the Russian city of Tver, an emergency source told TASS.

"The number of those injured is being verified. About 30 people have so far requested medical assistance. One person died," he said.

According to the source, some people suffered from smoke inhalation, while others received injuries after jumping out of windows to escape the fire.

The blaze, which started on the second floor, engulfed about 1,000 square meters. According to preliminary reports, the fire was caused by a power grid failure.
