More than 30 houses damaged after shelling of Golovchino in Belgorod region — authorities

Three people were injured

TASS, April 19. More than 30 houses were damaged after Ukrainian shelling on Tuesday of the village of Golovchino in the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the region’s governor, said in his Telegram channel.

"I’ve come to Golovchino. So far went around eight streets. As of this minute more than 30 affected houses. Mostly broken windows, roofs, fencing structures, as well as cars," Gladkov wrote.

"Chapaev Street and Novostroyevka Street affected the most. We won't leave a single person in trouble. Construction crews will begin repair works today," he added.

According to Gladkov, three people were injured as a result of the shelling. Two are in hospital under medical supervision and one is on outpatient treatment. In the next few hours the village plans to restore electricity and gas supply.

On Tuesday, the village of Golovchino, 50 kilometers from Belgorod, was shelled by Ukraine. Some 4,000 people live in the village. The Graivoronsky district of the region borders with the Ukrainian regions of Kharkov and Sumy in the south and in the west respectively.
