Russian stock indices rise as main trading session on Moscow Exchange opens

The MOEX and RTS indices went up 0.12% to 2,720.34 points and 1,109.93 points respectively

MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The Russian stock indices were growing at the start of the main trading session, according to trading data. The yuan rate was also rising.

As of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX and RTS indices were up 0.26% each, to 2,724.1 and 1,111.46 points, respectively. The yuan rate edged up 0.3 kopecks from the previous session's close to 11.161 rubles.

By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX and RTS indices went up 0.12% to 2,720.34 points and 1,109.93 points respectively. Meanwhile, the yuan rose by 2.4 kopecks to 11.182 rubles.

The Moscow Exchange Index with the additional symbol (IMOEX2) rose 0.12% at the opening of the morning trading session, reaching 2,720.34 points, according to trading platform data as of 7:00 a.m. Moscow time.
