MOSCOW, August 29. /TASS/. Russia’s exports of mineral fertilizers increased by 7% year-on-year in January-July to 26.1 million tons, the head of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAFP) Andrey Guryev told reporters.
"According to our expert assessment, the export of mineral fertilizers in January-July 2025 reached 26.1 million tons, which is 7% higher than the figure for the same period last year. Our industry stands firmly on its feet - the strategic priority of the domestic market and supplies to more than 100 countries around the world despite the restrictions imposed abroad," he said.
According to Guryev, Russia is the leader in the global fertilizer market, its share on it reaching 18%. He noted that Russian producers have increased fertilizer exports by 60% since 2013, to 42 million tons last year, due to increased supplies to friendly countries, and this year they will increase supplies abroad to a record 44 million tons.
The head of the RAFP recalled that in 2024, the share of friendly countries in Russian fertilizer exports reached 76%.
"This trend will remain: we will continue to develop cooperation with partners in other regions of the world, primarily with the BRICS countries. Over the past three years, we have already increased supplies to the bloc's countries by more than 60%. BRICS accounts for half of Russia's fertilizer exports," Guryev stressed.
