More than 92 countries, territories confirm participation in SPIEF-2025

Asian, African and Latin American nations showed particular interest in the forum's agenda this year, advisor to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov said

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Representatives of more than 92 countries and territories confirmed their participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) two months before its start, the Roscongress Foundation said.

"More than 92 countries and territories have confirmed their participation in SPIEF for the time being. This clearly demonstrates growing global importance of the Forum as a leading platform to establish new economic ties in conditions of the multipolar world. Active participation of Global South countries is particularly visible - the region, whose role in the global economy is rising swiftly," said advisor to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Steering Committee Anton Kobyakov.

Asian, African and Latin American nations showed particular interest in the forum's agenda this year, the adviser said. "The Kingdom of Bahrain, the important partner of Russia in the Middle East, will act as the guest country of the SPIEF-2025. A wide range of participants and the diversity of topics create unique conditions for elaborating practical solutions based on common values and the mutual respect," Kobyakov added. The forum will be held this year from June 18 to 21, 2025.
