RTS Index surpasses 1,100 points first since July 26, 2024

The MOEX Index was up by 5.77% at 3,200.13 points

MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. The RTS Index has risen by more than 10% surpassing 1,100 points for the first time since July 26, 2024, according to trading data. This comes as the Central Bank lowered its official exchange rates of the euro and the dollar to 94.92 rubles (-3.15%) and 91.03 rubles (-3.21%), respectively.

As of 6:03 p.m. Moscow time (3:03 p.m. GMT) the RTS was up by 10.02% at 1,115.03 points.

By 6:23 p.m. Moscow time (3:23 p.m. GMT) the RTS Index had narrowed gains to 9.27 % as it traded at 1,107.43 points, while the MOEX Index was up by 5.77% at 3,200.13 points.

On February 12, Russian stocks rose following a telephone conversation between Russian and US presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. On the same day the MOEX Index with additional IMOEX2 ticker surpassed 3,200 points during the evening trading session for the first time since last July.
