MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. Russians acquired a record-breaking 12,300 used electric vehicles in 2024, up 18% in annual terms, the Avtostat analytical agency reports.
Nissan leads the ranking of the most popular brands in the secondary market. Its share accounted for about 40% of total sales (4,900). Every sixth used electric car purchased in 2024 (2,100) was a Tesla brand. Zeekr ranked third with 1,400 cars.
The Nissan Leaf remains the top-selling model, with sales rising to 4,800 in 2024. The Tesla Model 3 and the Zeekr 001 occupied the top three spots (1,000 cars of each model were sold).
About 80 different brands were represented in the used electric cars market in 2024, Avtostat said. "For comparison, there were about 60 in 2023, approximately 50 in 2022, and less than 35 in 2021," the agency said.
