MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/. Gazprom Group's gas production by the end of 2024 will increase by 61 bln cubic meters (bcm) compared to 2024 and will reach around 416 bcm, CEO of the holding Alexey Miller said.
"As for the production of the Gazprom Group, in 2024 we will produce about 416 bln cubic meters of gas. Think about it - this is 61 bln cubic meters of gas more than in 2023," he said.
Miller noted that the Group's oil refining unit is also showing very good results. "In 2024, Gazprom Neft increased the volume of oil refining, first, the production of gasoline and, second, diesel fuel. Most importantly, it tripled the production of domestic synthetic base oils. This is a very, very good, good result," he added.
The head of Gazprom also emphasized that the holding sees an increase in gas consumption in Russia, China, and Central Asia, where the holding is increasing gas supplies. "In total, global gas consumption in 2024 will increase by 100 bln cubic meters, but this increase was mainly provided by only three countries - Russia, China, and India," Miller said.
He also noted that Gazprom will supply Russian consumers with a record 390 bcm of gas via its gas transportation system in 2024. "This year around 390 bln cubic meters of gas will be delivered to consumers via Gazprom's gas transportation system. This is a record for the entire history of observations," he said.
At the end of 2023, it was reported that Gazprom's supplies from the gas transportation system to Russian consumers exceeded the figures for 2022, when transportation amounted to 243.1 bcm of gas.
In 2024, Gazprom also set a new absolute historical record for daily gas supplies to consumers via the Unified Gas Transmission System of Russia with 1.815 bcm.
