DUSHANBE, November 26. /TASS/. International company VisionLabs, founded in Russia, is starting to implement pilot projects on the introduction of facial and object recognition systems within the framework of its cooperation with the Dushanbe authorities, the company's Commercial Director Ilya Romanov told TASS.
He recalled that in October, VisionLabs signed a memorandum of cooperation with state enterprise of the capital of Tajikistan, Smart City. "The memorandum focuses on cooperation in the field of digital innovations, computer vision for various needs of the city and the state. These are systems for face recognition, transportation, various situations related to detecting weapons, fire, etc. [These are projects] in the field of security. Now the technical implementation, verification of pilot projects is in progress and I hope that soon we can talk about the implemented projects," Romanov said.
According to him, Dushanbe has been chosen as a test site for the implementation of such technologies and after that it is planned to expand this system to other cities and the whole country.
"We implement our systems in more than 40 countries. The systems are already working in almost all CIS countries: we have implemented security systems in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan. Now we are making great strides towards the implementation of such systems in Tajikistan," he added.
