Szijjarto discussed gas supplies with Russian First Deputy Energy Minister

Peter Szijjarto and Pavel Sorokin confirmed that the sides would support cooperation for safe energy supplies to Hungary

BUDAPEST, November 22. /TASS/. Hungary’s Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto discussed gas supplies in the light of US sanctions against Gazprombank with First Deputy Energy Minister of Russia Pavel Sorokin on the sidelines of the international energy forum in Istanbul.

"We quickly take an opportunity in Istanbul. We reviewed the situation with gas supplies together with First Deputy Energy Minister of Russia Pavel Sorokin and confirmed that we will support cooperation for safe energy supplies to Hungary," Szijjarto wrote on his page in Facebook [banned in Russia, owned by Meta recognized as extremist in Russia].

The minister said earlier he was going to discuss these issues on Friday at meetings with counterparts from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Serbia in Istanbul, where an international energy forum is being held now.
