MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Microsoft has not yet blocked its cloud products inside Russia as of April 1, 2024, the Softline group of companies told TASS.
"No blocking [of cloud products] by Microsoft is observed as of April 1," the press service said.
Softline expects to get an update on access to the US corporation’s products shortly.
The company said in mid-March that Microsoft plans to suspend access to its cloud products and data inside Russia starting on March 20. Later, Andrey Blagorazumov, Softline’s vice president, told TASS that Microsoft could postpone the suspension until the end of March.
Microsoft may block access to programs for business process management, products for corporate accounting, automation, business analysis, project and IT management, collaboration, service monitoring, employee applications, and enterprise resource planning.
Microsoft does not plan to pull any consumer products from the Russian market. The corporation said the restrictions were related to the 12th package of EU sanctions against Russia dated December 19, 2023. In particular, the company’s software used for business analytics and other products in Russia are restricted .
