Russia’s coal output, export expected at this year’s level in 2024 — minister

In 2023, Russia’s coal output and exports will also remain at the level of 2022, Nikolay Shulginov noted

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Russia’s coal production and exports are expected to remain at this year’s level in 2024, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"Regarding coal, we plan to maintain (production) at this year’s level, at the level of 2022-203, and regarding exports as well," he said.

In 2023, Russia’s coal output and exports will also remain at the level of 2022, the minister added.

Last year Russia’s production and export of coal amounted to around 440 mln and 220 mln tons, respectively.
