HAIKOU /China/, December 7. /TASS/. South China's Hainan province held the 4th Belt and Road Global Financial Conference in Boao, located on the eastern coast of the island, China News Service reported.
According to its information, the event was attended by representatives of companies, experts and scientists from Russia, Cambodia, China, Mongolia, Singapore, Thailand, some other countries and regions. The participants paid attention to the introduction of innovations in finance, intensive economic growth.
Specialists discussed in detail the opportunities for development through the involvement of various scientific, technical and economic resources. One of the key topics was the formation of effective international financing channels.
The guests of the conference also exchanged views on the latest developments in the sphere. Special emphasis was placed on incentive measures and modern methods of formation of agriculture-related industries.
An exhibition of a wide range of products in demand in international markets was held on the sidelines of the event. Many Chinese and foreign enterprises agreed to make purchases and place orders at the forum. After the conference, representatives of some participating companies plan to familiarize themselves with the advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port in more detail.
The One Belt, One Road initiative is a concept proposed in 2013 by Chinese President Xi Jinping to boost multilateral trade and investment projects involving interested countries and using Chinese as well as foreign capital. More than 150 states and more than 30 international organizations have already joined it.
