MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. The retail trade turnover in Russia surged by 12.7% year-on-year in October 2023 to 4.24 trillion rubles ($47.8 bln), the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
The retail trade turnover also rose by 5.5% year-on-year to 38.2 trillion rubles ($431 bln) in January - October 2023.
In last month, 95.7% of retail trade turnover were formed by trading companies and individual entrepreneurs. The share of retail markets and fairs was 4.3% (in October 2022 - 95.1% and 4.9% respectively).
Foods accounted for 46.4% and non-foods stand at 53.6% in the retail trade turnover structure in October 2023.
