Russian Agriculture Ministry suggests banning rice exports

According to the draft document, the temporary ban will not cover rice exported from Russia to countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and for humanitarian aid to foreign countries

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture suggests banning rice and rice cereal export from Russia for the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024 inclusive.

The relevant draft resolution of the government was posted on the official web portal of draft regulatory acts.

"The temporary ban on exports of rice and rice cereal from the Russian Federation to be set from January 1 to June 30, 2024 inclusive," the document reads.

According to the draft document, the temporary ban will not cover rice exported from Russia to countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and for humanitarian aid to foreign countries.
