BISHKEK, October 26. /TASS/. The economy of the Commonwealth of Independent States is showing growth by key metrics, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at meetings of the Council of CIS Prime Ministers and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
"Our organization has good economic indicators. The industrial output gained more than 2.5% from January to July of this year; investments in fixed capital added 8% and freight transportation - 6.6%. Gross domestic product of the Commonwealth totaled 2.2% in the first half of the year," the Prime Minister said.
"Ill-wishers have predicted nearly an economic collapse to us just recently. Such forecasts turned sour," Mishustin stressed.
